The code and process that hold a business together.

Lug-Nut Technologies focuses on billing and payments, security, and scaling.

Focus areas

  1. 01

    Billing and payments

Revenue runs through integrations, invoices, and reconciliation logic that nobody wants to touch. The goal is charges, refunds, and records that line up.

  2. 02

    Security

Reviewing access, secrets, and infrastructure, and closing the gaps that matter most before someone else finds them.

  3. 03

    Scaling

What works at ten customers often breaks at a hundred. The focus is systems, and the processes around them, that handle more load and more people without falling over.

About

A lug nut is a small part, but when one is missing, the wheel comes off. Most businesses have parts like that in their code and operations: the billing job everyone is afraid of, the credentials that never got rotated, the manual process that only one person understands. Lug-Nut Technologies is built around that work: finding those parts, tightening them, and documenting them so they stay tight. It's also the home base for other projects.

Past work

The experience behind Lug-Nut Technologies, described by the problem rather than where it was solved.

  • Intelligent payments routing

    Problem

Acceptance for first-time onboarding and for recurring charges suffers when payment routing does not adapt.

    Approach

An intelligent weighted model for adaptive payment routing, developed before today's AI tooling, raised acceptance for onboarding and for recurring payments, with significant gains.

    • Payment routing
    • Adaptive models
    • Acceptance
  • Payments integrations

    Problem

Accepting money is no longer just cards; new methods and providers keep arriving, and the stack has to absorb them without breaking what already works.

    Approach

Payment methods and providers are adapted into existing systems so acceptance stays current as options beyond cards grow.

    • Payment integrations
    • Acceptance methods
    • Providers
  • Payment operations, end to end

    Problem

Revenue across several brands has to settle, reconcile, and hold up under audit.

    Approach

Billing and payments run as one operation, covering acceptance, processing, ledgering, settlement, reconciliation, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks, built to meet PCI DSS and SOX.

    • Payment operations
    • Reconciliation
    • PCI DSS
    • SOX
  • Tokenizing payment data

    Problem

Storing raw payment data widens compliance scope and risk.

    Approach

Enterprise tokenization replaces raw payment data with tokens as part of a PCI DSS program, so fewer systems ever handle it.

    • Tokenization
    • PCI DSS
    • Security architecture
  • Access control with a paper trail

    Problem

Access to APIs and changes to customer data have to be controlled and traceable.

    Approach

Role-based access control across APIs and applications, tied into corporate identity management, with a ledger that records every change to customer data.

    • RBAC
    • Identity integration
    • Audit trail
    • APIs
  • Folding acquired brands into one platform

    Problem

Each acquired brand arrives with its own customers, products, and systems.

    Approach

Technical due diligence comes first, then integration, with infrastructure that imports and manages each brand's customers and products while the platform grows more reliable.

    • Platform migration
    • Orchestration
    • Reliability
